Prep Ahead

If you prep ahead you will never fall behind

Mise en place -The French phrase: meaning to put in place.

A good Chef always does prep ahead, you never know what will happen the day of an event and how you will feel.

If all goes well then well you can really sit back and enjoy your company.

The kitchen seems to be the place to gather which is great but for the vision impaired, this makes a already complex task more complex. Make it easy by having as much as possible ready to go in the oven or just heat on the stove.

Bake the cake and freeze it, then you frost it it will still taste great.

Mashed garlic potatoes are great and are fine to sit overnight for the next day.

I did this type of pre-prep all my life it really pays off. You look real smooth and organized.
